The DHL balloon in Singapore
It was a sunday well spent, waiting for the DHL balloon to be flown....The weather was very cooling, with the sun hiding behind the clouds and after a downpour.....We went to Liang Seah Street for lunch first. Don't have much appetite, so ate the 炖蛋dessert and dumpling in a newly open shop. After that, we went window shopping around bugis junction. But the only place which really interest us is Kinokuniya bookstore. My interest for clothes, shoes, bags etc. seems to have waned after I start being together with him......
We waited until 3.30pm when the DHL balloon finally resumed service, due to the weather. At first, I thought the balloon will fly around the skies of Singapore city and we can really see the landscape and skyscrapers of Singapore. But I was quite surprised when I saw the balloon jus rising up to 180m and attached to a "string". I was not disappointed though.....
When it was our turn to go up, we were the first to be in the queue because I wanted to take a photo of the balloon. The trip upwards was quite fun, as we see the landscape becoming smaller n smaller and our view of Singapore city becomes wider and wider. It was great to have a bird's eye view of the landscape of Singapore. There were the Johor waters, the Marina Bay, Raffles Place, City Hall area........As the weather was great that day, it was really a great feeling to be high up in the sky with my beloved.....I jus turn my face against the wind, and u can hear the voices carried by the wind from a faraway place.........
It was overall a memorable trip, and I really yearn to sit in the hot air balloon in Christchurch, NZ again and see the beautiful sunrise and landscape of NZ.......
